Bite Me : Part 3

I wake up to the sound of my dad laughing. I sit up in bed and look around until I realize Jacob is gone. Maybe he left and that jerk owed me breakfast. I go to the shower for a quick wake up and then back to my room for some clothes. “So is school cancelled again, especially since its Friday” I say as I walk down the stairs still drying my hair. I stop dead in my tracks as I see my dad and Jacob on the couch watching some sport game. “What’s going on here?” I say staring in shock. “Oh sorry, there no school today either.” Jacob says as my dad pats him on his shoulder.

“Um dad can we talk for a minute.” I say walking back upstairs as he follows. “What the heck is wrong here?” I say panicking. “I came in to tell you there was no school today and there you were cuddling with some guy. I went and got my bat came back to kick some ass but when I came back Jacob was up. We got to talking and now I feel comfortable giving you guys my blessing.” My dad says excitedly giving me two thumbs up. I want to go off and tell my dad he a vampire and the one who bite me but Jacob mysteriously shows up.

“Hey you ready to go to breakfast.” Jacob says smiling at me. Before I can say anything again, “Of course he is. You two go off and have a good time. Remember you two have my blessing.” My dad interrupts running down the stairs and out the door. Jacob smile gets even bigger after hearing that. I nod in defeat and grab my jacket and we’re off in his truck. We go to some old dinner behind the woods.

The waitress takes us to our seats. I seat across from Jacob and watch as the waitress basic drools over him like I’m some gum under the table. She offers to give us a few minutes. “She sure is trying to get a type.” I say sarcastically and catch Jacob give me that cute smile of his that makes my heart to jump out of my throat. Why does he affect me like this must be the effect of the mark. I can’t forget why I came with him to find out the truth about him.

“Tell me what the hell are you?” I ask lowering my eyes. Just then the waitress comes back with a glass of water for Jacob of course. She accidentally spills some and of course it lands on his crotch which she happily starts grabbing on trying to dry it. My body instantly moves on its own and the next thing I know, I have the waitress’s hand crushed in my left hand and her throat in my right hand. Jacob pushes us apart and orders us to breakfast plates.

“Ok Rob. I will tell what I am. I am a vampire, but not just any vampire. I am a pure one which is a direct descendant of the head vampire Dracula himself. I bite you but I didn’t turn you; I only caused your body to start yearning for me and… I have to go.” Jacob then runs out the diner and into the forest leaving me his car keys.

“Great and I don’t even know how to drive in the snow.” I say getting up and walking out. “Wait your bill.” I turn around and see the waitress who was flirting with Jacob. I walk up to her smiling and slap the hell out of her before throwing some dollar bills on her. I know not my classy moment but hey after the things Jacob started telling me it’s expected.

I drive back home getting Jacob car a few bumps and scratches, but at least in one piece. I walk into the house and see my dad, mom, Jake and his girlfriend, and my uncle and aunt. “Hey everyone!” I shout giving my mom a hug. “I been desperately missing you mommy. I thought you weren’t coming back because of me.” I say not caring who was there. “It wasn’t because of you honey. We got something to tell you two.” She says looking at me and then Jake.

“Ok guys sit down.” My uncle Billy Joe says to everyone. “Me and your dad has something we got to tell you Rob and you too Jake. You both just turned 18 three months ago and now it’s time to tell you our family secret. Our family is actually a tribe of wolves. Three months after the males of our family turn 18 there will be a full moon and that is when you will start gaining the ability to freely transform from wolf to human.”

“Billy all this time you been a werewolf and never told me.” My aunt jumps up shouting. “And you know we are kinds don’t mix.” “Sally I was just getting to that. Can I finish?” Billy Joe pleads but Aunt Sally just sits and nods.

“There is only one way to stop the transformation and that’s a human sacrifice but it has to be made in love. You can’t just kill someone. The age limit for that is 4 years old. Our mom, your grandma, she sacrifice herself when I was 3 and your dad was 2. By doing that we skipped the transformation stage and the effects of it such as werewolf scent and others things vampires would notice.”

“How long do we have dad?” Jake asks holding July’s hand. “The full moon is Wednesday and there no way to stop it.” My dad whispers. “That’s why I left you years ago. How could you not tell me until it was too late? You know I would have never wanted this for our son!” My mom shouts at my dad as I hug her tighter. “I loved you how could I sit by and let you die.” “Look where we are now. All this because your selfishness. I am here to take my son and found a cure for this.”

“Listen there is no cure. It’s their heritage.” Uncle Billy Joe interrupts. “Then why aren’t you two not a part of the heritage!” “Because we didn’t have a choice, if we did our mom would still be alive.” My dad answers. “It’s up to you Rob if you go with her or stay with me to learn to control this thing. What you say?

I hate I had to leave Rob but I smelt my grandfather’s scent and all I need is for him to see me with Rob especially since he the head general of the Vultures. I rush to my house and walk into the door and start up the stairs when I hear my dad call me from the kitchen. I walk back down and into the kitchen and see my dad, mom, and grandfather. “Hi grandpa”

“Hi Jacob what’s this I hear about you and your new hobby?”
