3. The Challenges get a bit harder.

The third challenge did not come for two weeks. Again it came on a Friday evening.

"For 100€.

Photograph yourself totally naked in four different public telephone boxes or bus/tram stops. You may do some of each.
There must be no clothing visible in the shots, including footwear.
They must be full body shots. One frontal, one back and at least one other at each location.

The fee will be doubled if all the photos are taken in daylight.
The fee will be doubled is there are strangers visible in the background of any four of the photos. Vehicle drivers and passengers will only count if I can see their face.

You have 48 hours."

"Phew! That's a good one." So it was going to be another Saturday checking out possible places and then Saturday night for the pictures. He did not think he would be earning any bonuses this time but just maybe, if he did it very early in the morning, he might just qualify for the daylight bonus. Perhaps the best way was to do a full set of night time shots to make sure he got them and then repeat them just after dawn to try for the bonus.

Once again his first move was to look at Google Maps to try and find suitable locations. They did not need to be near each other except that he did not want to waste too much time travelling around. Of course if he drove naked it would save time undressing and dressing. At the thought of driving around naked he began to feel excited again.

Saturday morning off he went to look for his locations. Google had not been nearly so much help this time but by mid afternoon his selection had been made. Now he just had to wait till dark. He went home and decided to try and get some sleep so after setting his alarm for 0100 he went to bed.

2am the next morning found him at his first location, a phone box on the outskirts of town. He looked around. Good. No one in sight and no houses close enough to worry him. Number three was another phone box, this time on a street corner with blocks of flats all around it. Also he could not park quite by it and would have to walk about 20m from the car but he could see no one around and there was no traffic so he went for it. "OK. Maybe not that easy." he thought.

His last location was a bus shelter. It was right at the terminus for the line and well away from any dwellings. He parked right by the shelter and took his three photos with ease.

"OK" he said to himself, "that's enough for the challenge but without any bonus. It should be getting light in about an hour or so. Maybe two to count for the bonus." He decided to park up and wait and then visit the four locations in reverse and see if he could manage to earn at least one of the bonuses.

Two hours later found him back at location four in the early light of dawn. It was still deserted so he got his photos quickly and without incident. Now for the tricky one at location three. He drove there feeling a bit apprehensive but kept reminding himself of the double fee he could earn. When he got there he parked in the same place as before. He looked around and the coast seemed clear, but it had done last time as well. He decided to just go for it and got out, sprinted to the box, took his photos and sprinted back. At first there was no way he could drive. He was shaking too much. but eventually he calmed down and drove off.

Location two proved to be just as easy as before but at number one there was a problem. As he parked a van drew up about 50m away by one of the shops and two young guys started to unload. It looked like they were going to be a while. After a few minutes he realised that the longer he waited the more chance there was that more people would be about. He either did it now, and risked being seen by the two guys or he went home and forgot about the bonus. He decided to go for it.

"I might even get them in the background and get the second bonus." he thought.

He climbed from the car, positioned the camera so that it would get the guys in the background. Expecting to hear a cry or whistle at any moment he started to take the photos. He had decided to take more than the three to increase his chances of getting the guys in the frame. After he had taken about dozen he decided that was enough and got back into the car. It was only as he was starting the engine he saw that both guys were stood looking in his direction and waving to him. With his face burning with embarrassment he drove home.

A week later the next one came.

But it didn't specify what sort of place the locations should be. He had till late on Sunday to do it. In this part of Germany parking places on the edge of woodland were numerous so it didn't take long before he was back at the trading park and ready to do the main part of the challenge. He parked just at the back of the stores, got out and locked the car. He judged that 100m would take him almost to the far end of the block of buildings.
