Hager's Story : Part 3

The next morning I woke up with Liam still naked and sleeping on top of me. I slowly tried to get off of Liam but didn't want to wake him. He awoke and told me good morning. I said it back to him while getting my phone from my bag. I called my mom and she answered.
Mom: hello.
Me: mom, dad knows.
Mom: really? How did he find out?
Me: he caught Liam and I in bed. Mom he kicked us out.

Mom: he did what!?
Me: mom he told me that he can't have a faggot for a son and told me to get out.
Mom: I can't believe he did that.
Me: yeah and he kick spencer out too. Just because he supported me in everything I went through.

Mom: well I'm pulling into the driveway right now. I'll talk to him and call you back.
Me: okay. I love you mom.
Mom: I love you too hager.

Liam hugged me from behind still naked and i told him to go shower. He went into the bathroom and started to run the water. "why don't you join me?" Liam said. "I took one last night so I don't need to." I said. Liam shrugged and closed the bathroom door. I grabbed my tooth brush and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth then went downstairs with Liam still in the shower. I was greeted by chocolate waffles by Liam's mom.
Liam's mom: hungry Hager?

Me: yeah.
Liam's mom: well here and got to the dining room. Dad, Caleb, and your brother is already in there eating.
I followed her instructions and went into the room.
Caleb: fun night? *sarcastically speaking*
I blushed and I started to eat.

Liam's dad: so where's Liam?
Me: he's in the shower.
Caleb: you gave him a workout eh?
We all laughed and then my phone rang. It was my mom.

Me: hey mom, how did it go?
Mom: because he can't accept you I can't accept being with him.
Me: what do you mean?
Mom: I'm calling it quits with you father. I'm going to look for a big house for you and your brother to come stay with me but in the mean time can you stay at Liam's?
Me: I can't believe what I'm hearing. Because I'm gay you guys are getting divorced. I can't believe I ruined the family.

Mom: you didn't ruin anything baby it's not the fault. I've been wanting a divorce for a while now but I stayed with him for you guys sake.
I burst out in tears and I was speechless.
Mom: I'll talk to you soon Hager. I have to start this search as soon as possible.
Me: okay mom. I love you.
Mom: I love you too my little gay boy. And tell spencer I love him too and I miss both you guys.
Me: alright bye.
Mom: bye.

Spencer: is everything okay?
Me: mom and dad is getting a divorce. And it's because of me.
Caleb: wow. Your dad must really be a dick head if it had to come to this.
Me: my mom said she wanted a divorce from a while ago though but I don't believe her. Chris (Liam's dad) my mom wants to know if it's okay to stay here until she gets a place big enough for my brother and me.
Chris: of course. My home is your home for how long you like.
Me: thanks.

Liam came into the dining room and ate with us. We decided not to tell him what was happening so we sat there and talked about the plans for the day. Caleb was going out for the day with his girlfriend. Liam's parents were going out all day as well. Spencer made plans to go see Jessica so it was just Liam and I alone for the day.

It was around 5:00pm and everyone has left. We decided to just hang out by the pool and relax. I liked this. No making out or sex just us talking. I heard my phone ringing so ingot out the pool to answer it. It was my mom.
Me: hey mom.
Mom: hey hager I have something really hard to tell you.
Me: what? You're gay too? Ahaha
Mom: hager where are your right now?
Me: I'm at Liam's house still why?
Mom: where in Liam's house? I mean are you around any breakable stuff?
Me: no I'm by the pool why what happen?

Mom: well because I told you dad that we're getting a divorce, he didn't take it so good.
Me: why? What happen?
Mom: baby your father he.
Me: he what? Mom did he hurt you?
Mom: he didn't hurt me. But he hurt himself.
Me: how did he hurt himself?
Mom: he fell out the window onto his car.

Me: What!!
Mom: it seems pretty bad but it doesn't look good. Can you make your way to St. Michael's Hospital right now?
Me: uh yea, I'll be there in a blink of any eye.
Mom: alright honey.
I hung up the phone.

Liam: is everything okay?
Me: no. My dads in the hospital. I think he tried to commit suicide.
Liam: holy shit. C'mon let's go I'll call a cab.
Me: okay.

We waited about 15minutes then the cab showed up. We told him to get to the hospital and step on it. We got to the hospital in about 10 minutes and Liam and I both went to his room. Even with all that happen yesterday we still went in as a couple. When we walked in I seen my mom and spencer around my dad.

Me: what happen?
Dad: what are you guys doing here?
Me: really dad? Your hurt and you still care that I'm gay. Mom what happen to him?
Mom: I don't know. All I know is that he kept saying that all he had was gone and next thing I know he was on the roof of his car.
Me: you really decided to kill yourself cause you can't accept who I am. And you're suppose to be my dad. The one I look up to.
I broke out in tears and left the room with Liam chasing behind me.

Spencer: I can't believe this dad.
Dad: that's not the only reason spencer.
Spencer: then what is the reason.
Dad: because I have no one anymore.
Spencer: what do you mean?
Dad: well mom is leaving, you and Hager left.

Spencer: that's because you pushed us away.
Dad: I didn't mean to. It's just. That's not how I seen our lives.
Spencer: well that's that's how it is. So I'm going to get Hager back in here and he's going to ask you one more time. Accept or move on.

Spencer left the room and found me with Liam in the hall with me crying on Liam's shoulder.
Spencer: I need you guys to come back in the room and ask dad one more time to accept or forget.
Me: why? If he's willing to kill himself because I'm gay then he'll never accept me.
Spencer: that's not the reason. He told me that's it's because he's loosing his family.

Me: loosing his family? He's the one pushing us away.
Spencer: I know and I told him that but just, come on.

I took Spencer's word and walked back to the room with him. I took Liam's hand and stood right in front of my dad.
Me: look, I know it's not what you want. But it's my life. This is who I want and I'm going to ask you one more time and to remind you the decision you make now will always be with you. So are you going to accept the fact that I'm gay or never talk to me again?
Dad: ... Hager. I can never be happy with the fact that your gay.
Me: I knew it.
Dad: just listen. I know I can never be happy that your gay but I do have to accept the fact that you are. Your right, it's your life. You're 15 going to be 16 in september and to be honest, I just want you to be happy.
I started to cry and I sat next to him still holding Liam's hand.

Me: that's all I ever wanted from you but if you're going to accept me your are going to accept the fact that Liam and I are together and that you will be seeing him a lot more often.
Dad: alright that's fine.
Me: oh and dad.
Dad: yeah.
Me: NEVER do what you did today, cause in all honesty dad. I care for and I always will no matter what.
Dad: alright. I'm sorry for what I did to you. And this family. And to you Liam.

We all had one big group hug but then my mom said something.
Mom: george this doesn't excuse the fact that I still want a divorce.
Spencer: really mom? After all that?
Mom: yes honey. Your dad he doesn't treat me the way I should be treated.
Me: so what it he changes for you.
Dad: yea Carol, I'll try my best to keep you. I love you.
Mom: I don't want try I want will.

Dad: I will do better.
Mom: well okay. But if anything goes wrong again I'm leaving.
Dad: okay.

We all had another group hug and then Liam had to go home so I left with him. His brother came and picked him up and Liam drove home. Because Liam has his G1 he was able to drive with a fully licensed driver in the car. We got to his house and his dad greeted us with pasta and we ate quick. I went and took and shower for about 30 minutes and then went to the pool. I was alone in the pool until I heard Liam come outside.
Liam: why are you out here by yourself?
Me: I don't know. Just thinking I guess.
Liam: well can I join you?
Me: well duh.
Liam took off his shirt and jumped in the pool and stood next to me.
Liam: so what were you thinking about?
Me: I don't know actually. Just stuff.

Liam: what kind of stuff? your family?
Me: well yeah. *sigh*. We're so dysfunctional.
Liam: well yeah, all families are. You think my family accepted me for who I am when I just came out?
Me: well didn't they? I mean you guys seem so happy now.
Liam: well that's only because they think this is a faze.
Me: really?
Liam: yeah. I told them when I was 13 and my brother hated me for it that it made me go to my aunts house.

Me: really that's terrible.
Liam: it was but when I got back it's like they loved me more than ever.
Me: how long were you at your aunts?
Liam: like 7 months.
Me: wow. And you never talked to them for that long?
Liam: yea but hey it's true what they say. It does get better.

We spent the rest of the night just talking in the pool then we went to sleep in his room.
