Savior of soul and body

“Don’t worry about Irina and Calli they both are both a little upset that Jason was never into them.” Darw said.

“What do you mean never into them as he is gay or what?” I asked.

“That is something for Jason to answer, besides when he finds out that you are not resting it is going to be a little intense.” Darw said.

“Yeah I know I can hear him now cussing me up one side and down the other.” Josh said.

“Well, let us get you into some sweats at least to protect some of your dignity.” Darw said.

I smiled. “What about the I.V. is there a way I can remove them?” I asked.

“Sorry those have to stay they will be removed in time but right now you will half to deal with them.” Darw said.

“Have it your way then.” Josh said.

I managed with a little help from Darw to get into the sweats that were giving to me for the time being. We walked out of the bedroom and into a parlor area adjacent to the room. Darw moved the I.V. for me since I was using the walls for balance my muscle screamed at me as I have not used them in so long. It felt good to know that I was not totally incompetent. We made our way out to a patio area off the parlor into the brisk night air. I sat down in a metal chair.

“Damn, that is freezing.” Josh said.

Irina and Calli were back laughing at what Josh said. Calli was holding a blanket as soon as she came out onto the patio she draped it around my shoulders and tucked it into the sides of the chair being careful not to rip out the I.V. in my arm.

“Better?” Calli asked.

“Much thank you for the blanket.” Josh said.

Irina had brought out a tray with meat and potatoes on it with several glasses one was clear the others were dark in color. She placed the tray in front of me taking 3 of the glasses away and handing them to Darw, Irina and keeping one for herself, before sitting down herself in a chair.

“I like to say thank you for all your help and that I am eternally grateful for all that you have done. I know that this is a burden that you all don’t want to take on, but I am so glad that you are here. I would like to tell you something about myself if you don’t mind.” Josh said.

“We will stay and listen the best we can’t promise you that we will agree with everything that you say.” Irina said.

“I will start at the beginning; I grew up in a system that shunned me for who I was. I was not attracted to the opposite sex. When I was at the age of sixteen, I went out for sports it was the football team that found me out and had taken action to against who I was. I was beaten till I was unconscious and left on the football field. It was there that Nick had found me; he had taken me back to his place and nursed me back to health. After all the time that he spent taking care of me he had fell in love with me, we went on a couple of dates and I fell in love with him he was a cop at the time. We lived together for several years and then one day he was taken from me killed in the line of duty. I was in so much grief that I took up drugs to try and kill the pain. Every year on the day that I was giving the news I would go to Oaks cemetery and sit by his grave. It was there that you found me in my darkest hour that I felt that I was alone and that I did not care to live another day. Thank you for proving me wrong on all accounts.” Josh said.

“So after you lost your love you thought that life was unfair and decided to try and end your own life. If I understand correct?” Irina said in an almost choked up voice.

“Yes that would be correct I now see that there is a point to life even if you live for many years after you should.” CallJosh said.

“I can see the errors of my ways now that I look back I should not have giving up so early. The way you all look at each other I can tell that you are a family that has been through thick and thin and still stick to your instincts. I admire that very much.” Josh said wiping an un-shed tear from my eye.

I did not expect Irina to take me to heart so quickly it was a shock to me that she wrapped her arms around me. I was even more amazed when Calli and Darw were there just the same embracing me with Irina. The tears fell freely, though they were happy tears I still felt like I needed protection from my own feelings.

“Well let’s give Josh some room so that he can eat and enjoy the fall evening air.” Irina said standing back up and walking back to the chair she was in.

I had just finished eating the last potato when the scent of leather and vanilla and I knew that Jason was back he came out onto the patio, “you all are free for the evening I will take it from here.” Jason said.

Irina got up from her chair and looked directly at Jason. “If you so much as hurt him in any way, the ancestors better be listening and preparing a room for you cause I will kill you in a heartbeat.” She said.

“Well that is after I detach every one of your limbs.” CallJosh said.

“I am just going to sell tickets to this event.” Darw said.

“Don’t I get an opinion in this at all?” I asked

“Welcome to the family little brother.” The three of them said
before departing the patio and the room.

“Well it looks like I am in deep shit here even if I don’t quite understand it.” Jason said.

I smiled at him and gestured for him to take a seat at the table I was at as he walked close to me I reached out and grabbed his ass and thought that I felt Jason hesitate for just a second before continuing into the chair closes to me.

“How was your hunt then?” Josh said.

“I was more concerned with what state I would find you in than my hunting.” Jason said.

“Well then I suppose that I owe the most gratitude for saving my life and showing me that it is not as fucked up as I made it out to be then. Also thanks for getting me through rehab, I know for a fact that it is hell to help someone get through something like that.” Josh said

“Well for the most part you were out cold, when you did wake it was only for a minute. I never left your side but to hunt even then I did not stray far. I felt that I needed to be here for you more than anywhere else.” Jason said.

“Jason don’t take this the wrong way but I am falling in love with you.” Josh said.

“I fell in love with you the first time that I saw you. Though I do have one question and if you don’t want to talk about it then I will understand but maybe someday I hope that I will know. Who is Nick?” Jason asked.

“Nick was my boyfriend he died in the line of duty. I was at his grave the night that you found me, it was one of my darkest days.” Josh said.

“Thank you for telling me I hope that, I hope that I someday will be able to meet this Nick and thank him for bringing you into my life. Not that I am trying to be cruel or anything it is just that I have lived for so long that I thought that I would live for another decade before I found someone and if I did not I was going to find a way to seize to exist for I could not bear the pain of being alone and see everyone else happy.” Jason said.

“When I am better and able to travel I will take you back to where Nick is and introduce him to you and say good-bye. It is time that I have some closer and that I need to move on with my life. Umm before I forget how long have I been out?” I asked.

“You have been in and out of consciousness for well over 3 months. And in that time I have managed to retrieve your things from your apartment and procure a new job for you though it is within my own business I thought that it was better for you to not have to rush to work again that you could take some time and regain yourself. Also I have been trying to get muscle back onto your body since I saw some pictures of you before the melt down I should say.” Jason said.

“Thank you for taking the time to revitalize me to a state that I am able to walk again with little to no pain at all. Also I like to thank you for spending a lot of energy on me not knowing whether or not I was going to pull through it is more than I could ever be thankful for.” Josh said I shook as a cold shill ran through me.

“You have been out here long enough I think it is time for you to go back in you done have to go back to the bedroom just inside.” Jason said.

“Yes babe I will do as I am told.” I teased.

“Say it again.” Jason said.

“I will do as I am told.” Josh said.

“No, the other part where you called me…..” Jason said.

Smiling “Yes Babe.” Josh said cutting him off and freeing a hand and ran it through his black shoulder length hair, pulling him close I pressed my lips into his and I felt his lips probing mine to gain entry I opened my mouth and let his tongue pass through. I slid my tongue into his pass the sharp teeth he had it was a bit of a shock at first but it was something that I quickly fell in love with just like the cold flawless skin of his body the violent blue eyes that seemed to stare right into my very soul. I knew that no matter what happened I was never going to leave this god. I don’t know when it happened but I felt Jason pick me up and carry me into the parlor. We separated for a few minutes so that I could catch my breath as he looked over my body and then removed the intravenous lines from my arm. He then licked the blood away leaving nothing but flawless skin behind.

“I never want to be away from you for a second.” Josh said.

“Well then I think that I am going to need to call in a favor or two from my sisters and brother.” Jason said.

“Oh I am going to be that difficult.” Josh said.

“Oh do you not know that that you are wrapped around their fingers so tightly that if anyone threaten you in the slightest way they will be such a force that even the gods would tremble in fear.” Jason said.

“He is very right.” Irina said.

I turned a very bright red the heat started at the top of my head and went down to my chest.

“A little warning next time sis would be nice.” Josh said sarcastically

“Well it is not like you were doing something that I have not thought about several times.” Irina said.

“Geez that puts my mind at ease.” Josh said sticking my tongue out at her.

“Careful she might not give us her blessing and the others will only back her on this.” Jason said.

“Well bite me……oops that did not come out the way it was suppose too.” Josh said.

“I love too but first you need to have a few more days rest before we ever decide on what to do.” Jason said.

“That is true and the protectors are asking for you Jason that is why I have come by.” Irina said.

“I leave for a day and all hell breaks loose what the hell is going on that I have to deal with everything.” Jason said.

“Don’t know all I know is that they seem to be in high spirits as if they know something that brings joy to all and are not willing to divulge the information till they speak to you.” Irina said.
With a brief exhale Jason gave me a kiss, “I will be back in a little while.” He said.

“I will wait for you forever.” Josh said.

Jason left the room and Irina sat down next to me on the couch.

“So how is everything going he has not hurt you in anyway has he?” Irina said she was right to the point that was something that I like about her.

“No and I don’t think that he would ever do that he cares for me to deeply and I am head over heels for him.” Josh said.

“I can’t wait till you two become a couple, that way I can gain another sister.” Irina laughed after she said it.

“Irina I just want to say that I am glad that I was found and that I am accepted into the family so quickly.” Josh said.

“You had us since the moment that Jason had found you, I must go I have things to do I am sorry that I can’t stay longer like I want too.” Irina said.

“Thank you for coming though the time is brief I enjoy it maybe we will get together in the near future and talk more it has been a while since I have had any company. Let alone talking with someone.” Josh said.

Irina got up kiss my forehead and headed out the door. It was not long till I fell asleep on the couch waiting for Jason to come back. I woke just enough to the smell of leather and vanilla then felt the cold of Jason’s body next to me and his protective arms wrap around me before I drifted back off to an uneasy sleep. I was in my apartment and heard a voice yet nothing seemed the same. I knew that I no longer lived there but something about the place felt still like home. Then it happened, “everything is going to plan the gay cop is going to get what he deserves for sticking his nose where it don’t belong.” The voice said.

I woke up in a dead sweat Jason was there trying to calm me down.

“It was a set up that is why I felt like I could never move on. I don’t know how to really put it into words but I still feel as if my apartment is still connected in a way and that is where this group is at they are looking for something. Where did my stuff end up from my apartment?” Josh said.

“It is here in another room just across the hall. Is there anything that I could do to help you?” Jason said.

“Yes there is I need to know if there has been any imports or exports of any major drugs or antiques something that would get the police involved. I know that this is something that I should just leave alone but I can’t I don’t know why though.” Josh said.

“It is because you were connected whether it was Nick’s intention or not.” Jason said.

“Probably, but I just need to know what he had uncovered and why they killed him.” Josh said.

“I got some connections down at the police department and at the docks I will see what I can dig up. Right now try and get some more sleep your body is still trying to recover from the ordeal you went through. When you wake again I will take you to your things and we can go through them.” Jason said.

“Thank you.” Josh said I found his lips. I was lost all over again in his presence it was something that I would never ever try and deny myself or him. I laid my head down on his chest and fell back to sleep to Jason’s heartbeat and breathing. I woke up the next morning to yelling.

“What do you mean that he was involved?” Jason said.

“I don’t know specifics all I know is that Nick was involved in some case that went wrong. The case has been closed and buried so damn deep in the precinct that it would take an act of the devil himself to appear to open the damn case again.” CallJosh said.

“Well, let us hope that the devil himself don’t show up otherwise we are in deep shit.” Jason said.

I had got up and went into the bathroom to relieve myself, before I went to the dresser and found a tee that said “Bite Me” putting it on I went out into the parlor.

“Good morning little brother I hope that we did not wake you.” CallJosh said.

“No I just got too cold, my heater left me alone in bed.” Josh said looking around for something to drink. Cotton mouth in the morning was never my cup of coffee.

“Could I get some coffee it is way too early to be up without some caffeine.” Josh said.

“A man after my own heart, how did you get so lucky Jason?” CallJosh said.

“Don’t know the jury is still out on that.” Jason said smiling.

“I will have the coffee right up what do you want with it.” CallJosh said

“Black, I will be out on the patio.” Josh said.

“Ok I will join you in a bit after I see to some things and get your coffee.” CallJosh said as she left the room.

“Morning love, did you sleep ok.” Jason said wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me close.
